Does your chest skin always seem to stay slack (too elastic) and suffer from looseness (laxity)? Do your breasts seem full of fatty tissue or abnormally large? Good skin elasticity is desirable since it makes for a smooth surface contour. Tight skin is generally seen in the very young and is gradually lost as we age. Even through middle age, however, we retain some elasticity. If you are not obese, the skin envelope can always shrink and adjust to a reduced profile following a breast reduction procedure. Take the next step: request your certificate for a Free Male Breast Tissue Reduction Consultation now and call us at (954) 565-7575 or toll-free at (800) 274-LIPO today to schedule your appointment at the South Florida Center for Cosmetic Surgery with locations in Miami and Fort Lauderdale.

Excessive breast growth in men is a medical condition called Gynecomastia. Male breast tissue reduction, mastopexy, surgically places the chest in a higher position and reduces the size of male breasts. After most reduction procedures, men report a stronger, firmer chest that looks and feels more masculine, and as a result, a better self-image and higher confidence.

It is fairly common for men, especially over 50, to have overdeveloped breasts. This can be caused from excess fatty or glandular tissue. Men of virtually any age whether adolescent, overweight or self-conscious about their looks are good candidates for this procedure.

Depending on the cause of the Gynecomastia, one of two procedures can be done. The first method is liposuction where the fatty deposits are suctioned out of the breast are through a small incision. The second method requires a small incision around the areola and the excess breast tissue is removed. Many times a combination of the two procedures is recommended to achieve the desired look.
